How does Algohox work?
The product is liquid during application. When it comes into contact with the skin, its ingredients absorb body heat and polymerize (transform) into a gel, while the water it contains evaporates, absorbing additional heat. This results in a dual cooling action (double cooling effect).
Why does the gel help reduce body temperature, not just skin temperature?
When the gel is applied to areas where major blood vessels lie close to the skin surface, such as the neck or groin, it absorbs heat from the blood beneath the skin. This cooler blood is then circulated throughout the body and helps reduce overall body temperature, not just the temperature of the skin.
How to use Algohox correctly
Clean the skin before use
Apply the gel to areas needing cooling (e.g., forehead, neck/carotids, groin, wrists, soles) and spread evenly
The product will quickly form a thin film after absorbing heat
Reapply and repeat 3–5 times
Adjust application frequency depending on cooling needs
The thin film can be removed by wiping with a damp cloth
10 circular motions = 1 effective application. Recommended application area: 5 × 5 cm
When to choose natural cooling
When a doctor does not recommend antipyretic medication and the temperature is up to 38°C, especially in infants and young children
At the start of antipyretic treatment for higher temperatures (above 38°C) until the medication begins to work
After taking medication, wait 4–6 hours for the body to metabolize it before taking another dose. The product can be used if the fever rises again during this period.
